A soggy start for the Fabulous 4’s playing at home against Chelmsford 7 and within the first few minutes of play the away team scored the first goal. Undeterred, it was not long before S&B secured their first goal from one of Lesley’s cracking strikes from a penalty corner.
With a bare 11 and down to 10 players for a period due to injury, S&B fought a great battle to remain 1-1 at half time.

With everyone playing on form, defenders Angie, Megan, Gemma & Ingrid along with goal keeping legend Adele Cole, Chelmsford were simply unable to score. Some solid saves from Adele and super-fast reactions from Angie, they were unable to convert penalty corners either.

Midfielders Lexi, Katie, Emily and Millie working continuously hard driving the ball into the D to Lesley and Yasmin and eventually Lesley cracked another great shot from a penalty straight in the goal.

Match finished 2-1 to S&B and POM awarded to the whole team for their outstanding effort and teamwork. Well done everyone.
