The Super 2’s went into the game against Romford 1’s knowing it was going to be a tough game with Romford near the top of the league. Romford got off to a good start with a goal in the first 5 minutes but S&B were not going to let the away team have an easy ride. A misjudgment from the Romford goalie, leaving a hit from outside the circle which hit the post instead of going off, with Chloe King reacting quickest to stab the ball over the line to equalise. Unfortunately, Romford took the lead again just before half time.

S&B were the more attacking team in the second half with Amy G making lots of runs down the right hand side, but a combination of good defending and missed chances meant that the 2’s could not find an equaliser. In the last few minutes with S&B pushing for a goal Romford scored another to make the final score 3-1, a disappointing result but another good performance from the ever improving Super 2’s.
